Medal for “the salvation of perishing”, to Anatoliy Grudinin the captain of the Primorskiy Shipping Corporation (Group of companies PRISCO) handed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ivanov. The decree on awarding has been signed by the President of the Russian Federation, 11 June 2009. The Government Award search for his owner within 10 months, because of the captain's busy schedule.

Three years ago the crew of the tanker "Verona-1", led by captain Anatoly Grudinin participated in rescuing sailors from a sinking cargo ship in the Sea of Japan "Castor-1". In November 2007 the tanker "Verona-1" first came to the disaster area. In adverse weather conditions - with wind of 18 m/s and a wave of 3-4 meters - the sailors "Verona" hoisted 13 people from 36 vessels in distress. All the rescued had received the necessary medical assistance.
